From the last to a true base pattern.

Tabula turns a 3D last into a measured 2D base pattern — built for orthopaedic, asymmetric lasts, where standard flattening fails.

3D model of a shoe last with pattern lines — drag to rotate

On an orthopaedic last, the true centre line is curved.

Systems built for symmetric production lasts assume a straight front centre line. On a deformed last the pattern distorts — and the master measures everything again by hand.

The manual way: a last wrapped in masking tape and the peeled-off tape shell pressed flat.

Built for lasts that aren’t standard.

Flattening along your lines

The seam and centre lines you draw on the last define the flattening — not an automatic line in the wrong place.

Accuracy as numbers

Every result comes with length and area checks, not with “roughly”.

Separated the way the craft does it

Front and back, inside and outside can be handled separately.

Points and lines between 3D and 2D

Transfer points and lines from the last to the pattern and back.

1:1 print or straight on in Lector

Print the base pattern on paper and draw your model the usual way — or continue digitally in Lector.

  • Seam and centre lines drawn on a shoe last; the centre line is curved.
  • A flat base pattern with a steel ruler along its edge.
  • Inside and outside halves of a base pattern lying side by side.
  • Matching points marked on a shoe last and on its flat pattern.
